Posting pictures in site email

Hello,

I know there is a way to do this. In the forum you can attach a file to a thread and post it so others can see your problem or success. And I know there is a way to doit in an email but the link to the page I book marked is giving me the old 404. Does anyone have a working link?

Yes I meant in PM. I know they need to be posted on the internet somewhere first but there used to be a thread on some forum here you could post to to pull from.
