Store Download question

edited December 1969 in The Commons

In the old store there was a way to hide either mac or pc downloads, but I can't seem to find a way to do it now. Has this function been removed..

They are working on trying to make all downloads zip files so there will not be a Mac or PC version but just a zip version that will work on either.

Eventually the entire catalogue will be converted from installers and will be in Zip format.

There is also an optional installer app on the way, which will need to be downloaded only once, which can assist in downloading and installing the zip files.

However this will optional, you will be able to either choose to use the app, or just download the zips and "do it yourself".

Once the entire cataalogue is converted there will be no files which are PC speciific or Mac specific, just the one file.

Because of this move, it was decided that there was no real reason to provide an either or option, which would take quite a lot of extra coding, as it wiill ony be for a reasonably short period of time that this annoyance is happening.

Please bear with us, it will be over soon.

Thanks for the info... the download tool sounds interesting, but I REALLY like the zip idea... it will make it a lot easier to install the products that way...
Are these changes days, weeks, or months away?

They are in the process of converting the catalogue as we speak, but do bear in mind that there are over 12,000 item s of content to be converted, so it is no small endeavor.
