GoZ issue Zbrush morphs saved but not retrievable

Hi all,

I'm using Daz studio 4.6 and zbrush 4r5 in a windows 7 32bit os, and in this case i'm making custom morphs for Genesis 2.

All is working fine regarding transfers, morph creation when sending back to daz studio, and the morph is working fine as expected. I then save the morph (save as asset etc. etc.).

When i load again the base figure (Gen 2 female) the morph is not loaded. Why? I checked the files in library and the .dsf file is indeed saved in my library/data/DAZ 3D/Genesis 2/female/morphs/... (also checked its content and all is effectively in there).

Note that if instead i export the mesh from zbrush as obj and use the morphloader pro to create the morph, doing then the same steps as above, the saved morph is then loaded with a newly opened G2... and this is what i don't get. Is GoZ somehow borked?

Goz has some problems, I was not able to mimick the same bug you have there. What if you update your zbrush to R6? do you then still have the bug? I save my files as .duf and never had a problem like this before. Although Goz has give me other problems like a lot of crashing. I now export my files as an obj and then use carrara measurements, wich works very well in zbrush.

kesh, I don't know if this is the right answer or not, but I'm wondering if you have classified your morphs after using GoZ? Meaning, did you change the parameter settings to be Actor/Male/Real World or whatnot? If you leave it as the default ZBrush category, perhaps the morph you are looking for is hidden in the parameters tab rather than the shaping tab.

    Just a thought

There's a bug in the current production build - I think it was fixed by the current public beta, though I haven't checked. If you don't want to try the public beta, for now stick to exporting the tool as OBJ and importing with Morph Loader Pro (you can still use GoZ to send the mesh to ZBrush, which saves at least one export/import round).

    Thanks to all.

Richard Haseltine, thank you... your post will save me many a headache ^^ At least i won't try again to see if i was doing something wrong ;)

Slosh: yeah i was thinking the same and digged through all the hidden properties/parameters more than once... with no luck, as Richard Haseltine confirmed it's a current bug to be solved in next release.
