Scale (xyz) question

I want to deform one leg of a figure by making it longer. So I click on the region navigator tool, select the shin area, and under the param I get the xyz scale. This scale enables me to make the shin longer but it also makes it rounder and fatter. Is there any way I can ungroup the xyz, so I can manipulate just the Y axis?

In what application? In DS, on the Parameters, Shaping, or Posing tabs, click the options icon (the rectangle with horizontal lines in the upper corner) and choose "Show Hidden Parameters". In Poser, Dimension3D has a free script at Renderosity called Unhide Dials.

Thank you Admin, appreciate your help. Next time I post I'll remember to mention DS.

OK, now that I deformed the leg nicely, how to save that deformation so that I can apply it to the figure on subsequent scenes? Also how to keep the deformation on the figure when running antimate. As soon as I ran antimate the morphs disappeared. Appreciate your help.

You save your Figure as a Scene Subset, you can then load that figure into any scene with Right Click Merge.

AniMate only uses the Default NODE locations for both joints. So if your figure has one leg longer than the other the AniBlock sets both joint nodes to match. You can have a TALL figure but not a lopsided figure. For that you will need to Animate by hand on the DS timeline only.

I've never Tried but you could try editing the AniBlock with a Offset for the joint nodes in the Graph editor as explained in the AniMate PDF, you would then need to save the Edited AniBlock as a New Block to use only on that figure.

    I don't get a merge with a right click.

Just try a Double click, I only use Full Scene files which then need the Right click. Sub Sets might not need that step.

It's not working for me. What I really need to do is save the morphs I applied to the leg and then apply it to that same leg in new scenes.
