I do not have a internet connection in my house for my desk top and have to use my laptop at school to download everything.
I recently had to re-install my OS, thank god for norton ghost. But it did not have daz install when I made the os image.
So how do I install with using the daz installer?
Download manually and got the content and manifest file.
i trried to install Genesis Starter Essentials and the rest that came with daz 4.6 from the downloaded copies to the content folder.
it showed up the right side library but nothing in the smart content on the left side.
Was I so post to do to something with manifest file.
Also nothing showed up in my content manger.
what did i do wrong?

In What format did the DAZ Studio File download? If it came to you as a Zip file that is the DS4.6 Beta version and Can only be installed by using the DIM program on the PC you wish to install to. If it is a EXE file you only need to run it, The DIM is not needed to Install the exe version of DS4.6 Full found in the DAZ 3D store for free.
The Content files will both be in ZIP format and the content can be Moved from inside the CONTENT folder in the Zip folder and Pasted to the My Library folder once DAZ Studio is installed.

Title says 'without' ... your sentence says 'with' ... so to be sure ... AFAIK you 'have to' run the installers to install the D/S program so it can set up the Content Management Service on your computer. Without it, nothing is ever going to show in the Smart Content [and a few other places and tools will be unavailable].
To then get any of the 'manually input' content to show, the metadata must be imported.
If CMS didn't get installed, go to the folder you installed DIM to (default on 64-bit WIndows is C:\Program Files (x86)\DAZ 3D\DAZ3DIM1 ). There's a CMS subfolder with an installer for just the CMS.
! Oh that's good to know!
..............
:gulp: my folder is empty!!!
