hello, i have recently tired to use a dynamic cloth product in a render, and i keep running into this same pesky problem.
as you can see when you click on and look closely at this rough render, i tried to drape the dynamic robe over Genesis, but it clips through parts of her body and suit. even when the "collide with" settings are for both the suit and her.

how do i solve this so it drapes as it should?---thank you.

in the scene tab right click on the top right striped box under edit add a smoothing modifier

all right, will do. and what would that do exactly?

it enables the collision modifier to work
works on any items on a figure whether it be confirming clothes, a prop or a floor plane with a figure pressed against it

that seemed to solve most of the clipping, but parts still poke through, like elbow and upper chest, is that inevitable?

The smoothing modifier is a very kludgey feeling effect that requires a lot of twiddling to get it to work properly and in some cases actually makes the clipping much worse. Sometimes you have to apply a slight push modifier of 2 or 3mm to get it to work. Of course sometimes just applying the push modifier on its own is enough to get rid of the problem and the smoothing modifier actually makes things worse.

I see 0% of the Genesis figure that would ever really collide with the item. That said I think all you should do is have the Item collide with just the Supersuit and the Genesis Head for the ears. I got very little clipping when I tested it that way with a different item. See Below.
