Subdragon won't load in Studio 4.6

When I try to load it, it returns with 'the "SubDragon" support folder could not be found.'

I've tried re-installing it, and loading it as "poser" content (although I thought this fella was made to work in Studio), former produced the same result and latter will only load the geometry as one solid object (can't be posed, etc.)

when you installed it did it run a dos window Intitailising the install? If not go and find DzCreateExPFiles-SDrgn.bat, should be in the Runtime folder under Libraries > !DAZ.

and where are you loading it from, Smart Content or Content Library Pane?

I used the new downloader/installer utility. It didn't bring up a dos window.

Found the batchfile and ran it, that of course did bring up a dos window, but it didn't fix the problem. Still says support folder could not be found.

What is your Content Path in DAZ Studio mapped to? The DIM, (Daz Install Manager) Defaults to a Different Folder unless you change it.
    The DAZ Studio Creates a Folder in C:/"USER NAME"/My Documents/DAZ 3D/Studio/My Library
The DIM default Creates a Folder in C:/Users/Public/Documents/My DAZ 3D Library

You can just ADD that path to your DAZ Studio paths under the Top path as BOTH a DAZ Studio Format and Poser Format and it will find the DIM installed content after a Close and Re-open of DAZ Studio.

EDIT: Below is DAZ Studio set up to use only the DIM default folder for all content installed.

It may not be the same problem but I logged a problem with Subdragon months ago after installing via DIM, which I can't find in the Bug list any more. Last time I saw it Dr Jellybean confirmed there was a problem with the powerloader file. I haven't see a fix come down in DIM and have been using SubdragonLE since then.

  • I was able to get the SubDragon to work by downloading it from this page http://www.daz3d.com/downloader/customer/files#prod_6415 and replacing the files which the DIM installed with the ones from the manually downloaded package.
