Ok I know this might sound weird. But I know how to set it up, put the light and rendering with reality by watching this youtube video, but I was wondering once I stop this rendering on luxrender how can I save the image? Also, is there anyway I could make the rendering a little faster as well?

By default Luxrender automatically saves the image in the same location as the input LXS file. However, when you export with Reality you have to specify an image filename in the output options. Check your options to see where the file is being written to.

As for how to speed renders, it will vary considerably depending on what sort of materials you are using and how your scene is set up. If the camera has difficulty finding the light, then renders will take a lot longer to coalesce, but conversely having too many lights will also slow down renders because Lux has to work that much harder to piece the scene together.

Often times, Reality will give surfaces very high gloss values even when it's unnecessary. You should manually lower these settings for surfaces that don't require such high values as the reflectivity means that light rays continue to bounce around the scene rather than being removed, which extends render times. Additionally, having larger scenes will also make renders take longer partly due to the extra geometry, and also because of the distance light rays need to travel for the calculations.

There are quite a large number of factors which contribute to longer render times with Luxrender, but composing a scene carefully will help to keep them to a minimum.
