Applying Expressions

Thanks for taking the time to help me with this, I am new to DAZ Studio I used Poser about ten years ago and alot has changed since then. I have been fooling around with the genesis 3 female I have the head and body morphs and some premade expressions for the face. This is where the problem comes in, I select the head and double click on the expression I want to use and nothing changes in the face, so what am I doing wrong? I am using DAZ Studio 4.10 PRO any help would be awesome, again thanks.

The expression has to be for the same type of figure. You can only use genesis 3 expressions on genesis 3 figures. Are you doing that? Which expression do you want to apply?

For expressions, you can also go to the parameter tab --> Actors --> Pose Control --> Head --> Expressions and manually slide them in.

In addition to that, it's as @Illianstorm said. Some expression sets are for G8 and G3 both, but have two icons, one in G3 and one in G8 poses.

  • So I here is a step by step of what I am doing, I thought it might be easier. I am using Natsuko for Aiko 7 with the Z Seven Deadly Sins Expressions.

I go to Genesis 3 Female ---> Characters ---> Aiko 7 ---> Natsuko Folder, click on the Head and the Body morphs from here I go to

Genesis 3 Female ---> Characters ---> Expressions ---> Z Seven Deadly Sins ----> (I make ssure the head is selected in the scene) and then select the expression I want and nothing changes. Even doing what BEE said up above doesnt work, so I must not be doing something right. Thanks for the time u all have given me in helping me with this.

  • Mine are on Genesis 8 and yes i do the same thing as you but ive also tried going through parameters on the side, posing on the side with the slides. ive tried going through smart content and content library and going to the exact folder the expression is loaded in. does absolutely nothing. i have not been able to find a solution
