Restore UV map of clothing after putting on another shader

When I put on a shader on a any clothing like a shirt the UV of that shirt seems to be overwritten. Can I somehow restore the UV of the Shirt after the shader is applied?

Normally, the UV itself doesn't get overwritten. What happens is that the texture maps will be replaced by the shader. If you want to keep the maps, but just want to apply the characteristics of the shader, keep the ctrl key pressed while applying the shader, and in the dialogue that pops up then, for "Images" select "ignore". There are some rare shaders for which this won't work, but for the majority, you can keep the maps that way.
