Difference between Genesis and basic female ?

What's the difference between Genesis and basic female ? Noticed more content works with basic female then Genesis. Thanx.

    "Genesis" in rather "gender neutral".

    Basic Female is a morph for Genesis.
    As are Basic Male and Basic Child.

    Content that works with Basic Female will work with 'all' of Genesis' morphs to some degree. People are simply indicating that they designed their outfits or morphs to look best with Basic Female.

    Just be sure that it does in fact say "Basic Female" (which is a Genesis morph) and not "Genesis 2 Female (Base)" which is a different figure. You probably know that already, but I thought it might be worth mentioning, just to be on the safe side. Genesis 2 Female content will probably not work on Genesis (1) characters--at least not without extra effort or special products designed to make it work.
