Hello friends, having some difficulty with render settings. I created a scene with Genesis/background. Background is not rendering in qaulity setting of 4 (3Delight). But will render in quality of 1 (Open GL).

Question 2: When I add spotlight to scene. Scene renders fine in 3Delight. Any other render settings Daz freezes up/crash, everytime.

Question 3: When I add spotlight to scene, characters has red eyes, but renders white in 3Delight. I tried changing color of eyes, move spotlight around, regardless character eyes renders nearly solid white everytime.

Thanx.

One is that a Plane with a Image Applied for the Background or a image added as a Background?
Two what are the Settings for the Eyes in the Surfaces tab, they could have Reflect set way to high or Ambient?
Three if its a Background Image and you save as png the background layer becomes a transparent alpha channel.
Four it looks to be the Cornea part of the eye that is whiting out.

Hi Jade, it's been 4 months since I've opened Daz. Challange trying to remember everything.

Background is a primitive plane, image applied. I did same thing in the past, alway's worked, even posted an image awhile back. Now not rendering in 3Delight.

Surface settings are default. Interesting, never thought of making adjustments in eye surface. Will experiment later this evening.

Background image is jpg. Alway's worked before. You taught me how to create backgrounds few months ago. Only thing that has changed since then, is I upgrade my video card. Now low quality settings, freezes/crashes Daz, Lol ! goodness.

For your BG on a plane Add the Image to the Ambient Channel and set it to White at full strength in Ambient.

Hi Jade, already did that, didn't work. I'll experiment with it tonight, see what's going on. Thanx for your assistance.

Well goodness gracious. Monday evening, spent time trying to render properly with 3Delight, making many changes in surface tab. No matter what changes I made, character eyes renders white. As one can see in image, but will render properly in quailty setting 1, background and all.

Anyone have any idea, why 3delight is not rendering properly, white eyes, no background ?? Alway's work'd in the past, only major change was video card upgrade. In my opinion should work way better. Card is 5x better/faster then previous card.

What render settings are you using? My renderings looked similar to yours, until I changed the default settings of Gamma and Shading.
    I'm now using:
    Bucket Size - 8
    RAy Trace Depth - 3
    Pix X - 3
    Pix Y - 3
    Shadow - 8
    Gain - 1
    Gamma - 1
    Shading - 0.8

Okay, making progress. I tried eyes of several varying characters, they all rendered properly in 3Delight. Only one keeps rendering white is Desdemona from vendor Kaleya.

Now, need to resolve background not rendering.

LOL! The new card should not matter DAZ 3Delight is 100% CPU rendered.

Post a Screen of your Planes Surface settings, maybe I'll catch something we can fix.

Well, that's wonderful news. I'll take the new card back for a refund. I bought card mainly for video editing, thought it would help with renders as well.

Going to work on background malfunction later this evening. If I can't figure out, will post screenshot of settings. Thanx Jade.

DAZ Studio only uses the GPU (Graphix card) for the Viewport in DS. The FULL 3Delight Render setting is all CPU. That's why some PC's lag during rendering.

Figured it out :-) Desdemona character content works/renders perfect for V4, Genesis has render issues in 3Delight. It's all trial/error. Click, click, click, which content works, which doesn't, Lol !!

G2F like Genesis is missing one Eye section. It makes a diff. They fixed it in V6 and Gia.

Thanx for info buddy. Would be wonderful to have just one model to work with, opposed to several.
