G3F wristband to G8F

I have a wristband that fits G3F and I'm trying to fit it to G8F. When I click on it, it loads in the right position and correctly. But then the Autofit window pops up asking me for which figure this is. Then I choose G3F but when it's done calulating it is making it look worse than before the autofit window. How can I just load it without the autofit option that pops up? Thanks.

Make sure you have nothing selected in the scene tab when you load the wristband. If neccessary, click someplace in the scene tab to unselect G8

Then it won't load to the arm and is floating in space and if the arm is thicker  or thinner it will not look right. I just want to get rid of the autofit function and make it load like before this window pops up.

The autofit option always pops up if you have a character selected, I don't know a way around it.

What you'd do normally is to manually move around the item until it's in the proper position, adapt the size, and then use "parent to parent" and the bone, like hand, or lower arm.

I don't understand how a G3F wristband would load in the right position on G8F for you before the Autofit dialog even comes up. That is a mystery. For me, it would load in the position of G3F's T posed arms, meaning it is too high and at the wrong angle for G8F. For G3F arm and wrist accessories that load in the G3F position, this is how I fit them to G8F. The process looks long and complicated, because I tried not to skip any details. I hope I achieved that goal.

    1. Load Genesis 8 Female in her default A pose.
    2. Click in a blank area of the Scene pane to deselect Genesis 8 Female. (Nothing should be selected.)
    3. Load the Genesis 3 wristband. Autofit will not be displayed, because no character is selected.
    4. Select the Joint Editor Tool (looks like a bone with a pencil across it). This will let you see the skeleton of the wristband. If it has a shoulder bone, you can continue with the following steps.
    5. Select the wristband shoulder bone in the Viewport, or expand the wristband in the Scene pane and find the shoulder bend bone for the arm the wristband is designed for. (This is the shoulder bone of the wristband, not the shoulder bone of G8F!
    6. Open the Parameters pane.
    7. Set the wristband's shoulder Bend parameter to 45 if it is designed for the right arm, or -45 if it is designed for the left arm.
    8. You should see the wristband move into position on Genesis 8 Female's arm. If not, something has gone wrong and there is no need to continue. Start over.
    9. In the Scene pane, select the wristband again (not one of its bones).
    10. Open the Tool Settings pane and select Edit/Bake Joint Rotations from the Tool Settings context menu.
    11. Go back to the Scene pane and select Edit/Scene Identification from the Scene pane context menu.
    12. In the Scene Identification dialog, change Preferred Base from Genesis 3/Female to Genesis 8/Female by clicking the ellipsis (...)  and selecting Genesis 8/Female from the list.
    13. Click Accept in the Scene Identification dialog.
    14. In the Scene pane, select Genesis 8 Female. Then hold the Ctrl key and select the wristband. The selection order is important - first G8F, then the wristband. Both will be selected when you have finished.
    15. In the Scene pane context menu select Edit/Rigging/Transfer Rigging (Figure Space).
    16. In the Scene pane, select only the wristband.
    17. Open the Parameters pane.
    18. In the General section, find the Fit to control and set it to Genesis 8 Female.
    19. You can now pose Genesis 8 Female and the wristband should fit and move with her.
    20. Save the wristband as a Figure/prop Asset if you want to use it again in the future on G8F without repeating all this work.
