Another render with Sky, this time a pinup style.  I think this meets the TOS on nudity and should not get pulled.

Well I don't know what happened here.  Sky must have been paroled.  I posted this, it was taken down, I posted another version with her in a bikini that was up for a bit, then it was taken down and the original put back up.

Anyway, here is another Sky render.  I really like the character.

  • Possibly earlier image considered borderline & hidden by a mod while a wider discussion could be held behind the scenes. then I'm speculating that agreement was reached that it's on the right side of the borderline. Done this sort of thing myself on another forum as a mod. It's a way of ensuring that potentially difficult posts don't stay visible while causing problems & ones that are deemed OK are then released back into the forum. So, I suspect it's mods doing their jobs. When I made a post invisible as a mod on that forum I usually sent the originator a little note why and then sent them a note about the decision & reasons for the decision, and if I was feeling in a good mood, suggestions how to avoid the situation getting borderline again. That's probably down to how busy the forum is; Too busy & there's probably not time to do it.

    Here's Romina again lol

I decided, since she's my favourite character since Maria back in Gen 4, that I'm going to pick and prod at her materials and settings and really try to bring her as close to realism as I can. She's not finished, but she's progressing:

I really like the style of those images, @dtrscbrutal, really classic pinup feel to them!

And I agree, @angelreaper1972 has some great expressions there. Very nice posing as well - your posing is normally REALLY good, so no surprise there!

For anyone interested, here's a side-by-side before and after shot of Romina vs my WIP Romina upgrade. Full size image is in the gallery.

Yes I do, thanks. I haven't gotten to that part yet. Trying to nail down what I want for the most effective surface settings first, and then I'll go into some more finer detailing. Spent a good couple of hours last night blending bump maps together for her face so I could pick and choose the best bits of each of the ones that I really like lol.

But yeah, once I finally settle on what I want for the main bits of her surfaces I'm going to add in some detailing and such. Currently trying to refine her makeup a bit more. I like where it is, but it's just missing something for me. Not much, but enough that I'm not satisfied until I figure out what it is and how to add it lol

  • cool. Not done anything myself playing with bump maps and such have to try those options someday. With the makeup are you using that create your own makeup option Mousso has with her ladies (I haven't tried that either) or another product.

That was my first time trying to blend a bump map with another one. I've fiddled with them, adjusting contrast and such, but never really CHANGED anything. Took me a bit to figure out the best way to do it, which I think worked. I just layered them together. I had the bump map from Khemsit and Kala. Khemsit's is really nice, but it's a bit lacking in detail around the eyes. Kala's has lots of detail around the eyes, but it's too strong on the lips for me, so I just erased everything but the eye's from the Kala map, and then played with the opacity of the eraser around the edges of what was left. It was actually pretty easy, and seems to have turned out ok. I've been off playing with a bunch of other stuff for the last couple of days, so I haven't yet really dug into it to see.

Her current makeup setup is the default Romina diffuse texture, with a couple of eyeliner LIE's, and a modified version of one of Kala 8's makeup options. I darked the eyeshadow a bit, removed the blush, and changed the colour of the lips from red to pink, and dropped the overlay opacity way down so it's not vibrant. And I actually just remembered that I intended to apply one of Romina's blushes and didn't do that lol

kinda reminds me creating skins for in the sims 2 process sounds the same miss that in 3 and 4. Trying the different makeups of Mousso's on different Mousso ladies thought wondered about too how well that go know not much luck on others  especially daz cores that's the one thing not happy with daz cores your stuck with just the full face makeups no choice of mix match lipsticks, blushes extra

You can mix and match the core makeups to an extent. I don't like that they all come as a full preset, but you can break them up fairly easily in Studio.

Just start with, say, the lips and apply what you want for those, then copy the surface settings, apply the other makeup preset that you want for the rest of the face, select the lip surface, and paste the surface settings. I've done that quite a few times. Not ideal, I wish they were just broken up into eyes & lips at least, but it's a fairly easy workaround.

I haven't tried mixing Mousso makeups yet, but judging from the way they're applied, it should work pretty easily.
