Making Iray Clothes "Wet"

Hello,

Like the subject says, I'm looking to turn a normal piece of clothing "wet".  The concept is a pair of jean shorts (OOT Mega Wardrobe Superjeans G8F) that someone went swimming in.  No need to make them wet in places, just soaked clean through.  I figure that I could use dForce to make them hang a little more, though I haven't looked too closely at that since I figure the jeans are tight enough as is.  Mostly I'm looking for how to get that reflective wet look on the surfaces.  So far, I've tried turning the Diffuse color from white to grey to get the darker look, then increased the Glossy Reflectivity a bit to hopefully give it a shine.  Am I going about this right?  Or is there a better/easier technique out there for what I'm doing?

    A recommended thread for dForce: https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/208141/how-to-use-dforce-creating-a-blanket-draping-clothes-on-furniture-and-much-more#latest

    For wetness, you'd have to combine work on the colour (as you already did) and add the glossiness. here are some things I tried a while ago: https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/comment/872147/#Comment_872147

    This shader set comes with a shader to make clothes seem wet.

    Nice! Gotta wishlist it for now, but that'll be on my list for the next big sale.

    I tried some adjustments that you did, specifically the top coat settings. The shine shows up, but it caused some weirdness in the lighting. Don't have access to the image at the moment, but I think the shadows produced a straight line along the leg. I assume that's the lighting on the shadowed side not being strong enough. But it puts me on the right course.

    High white translucency at scatter/transmit plus .02 metallic flakes?

    So I ran some tests with the settings and here's what I've got.  The environment has IBL Christmas Gift Clear Skies and there's a three point light setup with mesh lights present.

    Left Most is Base Material 6 for Genesis 8 Female MEGA Wardrobe.

    Center is the base material with the following changes.

         Base Color:  1.00, 1.00, 1.00 --> 0.22, 0.22, 0.22
         Glossy Reflectivity:  0.50 --> 0.75
         Top Coat Weight:  0.55 --> 0.75
         Top Coat Roughness:  0.50 --> 0.1
         Top Coat Color Effect:  Scatter Only --> Scatter and Transmit
         Top Coat Layering Mode:  Reflectivity --> Fresnel

    Right most is the above changes plus

         Metallic Flakes changed from 0.0 to 0.020.

    The belt loops on the right most has

         Translucency Weight:  0.0 --> 1.0
         Base Color Effect:  Scatter and Transmit
         Translucency Color:  1.00, 1.00, 1.00

    When I did those changes to all the surfaces, the whole thing turned white.  Maybe turn the the Translucency Weight down low, but not 0?  Glossy Reflectivity up higher than 0.75?
