V4 and DAZ 4.10

When searching for V4 items there ia a lot stuff market DAZ Studio and fewer marked DAZ Studio 4.10

I have DAZ 4.10 and Victoria 4.2, can I use the stuff that is not marked 4.10

    V4 items marked "DAZ Studio" only will usually be items made for Poser which don't have DS materials included, but would work in DS if you adjust the materials. Those should work in 4.10 too.

    IIRC the items marked only "DAZ Studio" are either Poser-files-only (might or might not have old but workable D|S materials) or created before about version 4.5 of DAZ|Studio, when the content file format was updated into its current form.

    One gotcha to beware of — these old items all ought to have the metadata in the installers to show up in your Products content view, and a lot of them (but not all) ought to show up in Smart Content... but there are a few glitches in this metadata, so not all of it works right. If you install something like this and can't find it, look in the Poser Formats section of the Content Library. This will show your actual installed content files, not what the content database thinks is installed.
