Help With V4 Skin Tones

  Hey everyone!

Sorry, noob question here: I recently installed the V.2 figure to use in Poser 11.  Problem is, a lot of the skin tones (even from other downloaded content) look horrendous.  Even the default V4 skin and All_Natural_NG skins are super dark, as illustrated in the picture below.  The only skin tone that looks good is the All_Natural_Wet skin tone.  Is this normal for Poser figures and simply a matter of bad lighting or something else?

  Thanks for reading!

Is that a render or just the preview?
And is that the default lights? From memory Poser default lighting is quite bad, have you tried with another light set?

Please give the figures clothes or zoom to show only head and shoulders.

  • My apologies!  This image is a render in 1080 x 800 using firefly and the default lighting settings in Poser.  Using Poser figures (like Alyson in the left side of the picture) usually turns out well, while applying the All Natural Wet material to Victoria 4 (right side of picture) also produces a good skin tone.  But the regular Victoria 4 (center of picture) seems abnormally dark and kind of grey to me.  Is this how Victoria 4 usually looks when you load her into Poser?  What is a good solution to making her skin tone more realistic?

    Thanks a bunch!

Did you apply the poser materials to her, or is she using the DAZ materials?

  •   Not sure.  I think she's using the DAZ materials, because I loaded her under the DAZ people tab in my library.

"Daz people" refers to the fact that the figure was created by Daz, it has nothing to do with Daz studio program (which Daz the company would have abbreviated as DS anyway).

V4 should load with poser materials in poser.
