Genesis 2 Dresses and Older glitching out when posing on a Gen 8 model
This is a problem I'm having with Genesis 2 female and Genesis dresses when putting them on a Gen 8 model. Specifically it's a set of tutus that just....freak out and do this whenever I use a pose option. Is there any fix for this? (Also I'm a self taught noob so I need a really "Explain Like I'm 5" answer) Many thanks!

As a Noobie maybe yopu would be better off in the New Users forum. We can move your post there, or you can do it yourself by clicking on the gear icon in your first post, then clicking edit from the drop down list and then clicking on New Users from the drop down from Category shown on the right hand side of that page.
Alright I switched it around. Now, you wouldn't have any ideas of how to fix this problem beyond telling me where I should post this? That's not sarcasm I just really want a straight answer as quick as possible because of the time frame I'm on.
Sorry no I don't actually use DS, ↓ but we do have a nice bunch of people who will turn up soon to help you I am sure. I will go and leave a message.
Which tutus is it?
Some clothing items, specially those who are "dress-like" and have multiple layers of mesh (for multiple layer of clothes) and usually have lots of helper bones, usually have problems autofitting to other generations.

To correctly handle things like dresses with multiple layers of cloth, like the multiple layers on a tutu, the developer of such cloths adds extra control bones (things in the data that decribe which part moves how ). When wardrobe stuff translated from one generation to the next using AutoFit, Autofit just doesn't always understand how things are connected and makes some educated guesses. Sometimes those guesses are wrong, and you end up with "the stomped donut look of things".

So, if it doesn't work, you might need to do some nasty stuff yourself, there are several items in the store that helps Autofit with the guessing, and also tutorials on how to fix it.
First thing I would advice you is to test if the tutu works fine on the normal g2 female it was designed for as well in the same (or a very similar pose you have there. If that works as it is supposed to, try to prop it to a g3 female figure, safe the result as a new clothing prop and try to fi that to the g8 figure. Let us see what your results are for every level so we can add advice as you go.
My best guess is that it will probably fail on g3 female as well (the difference in bones, twist and bend as different bones/joints on g3/g8 vs one bone i g2)
I guess going to the Joint Editor and deleting all the bones related to arms in the dress should fix it. For an item like this, beside the hip and the pelvis the dress would only need the thigh bones and all up to the chest.
Seems like the arms weightmaps somehow got projected to the dress (by the autofit). Maybe the gloves are a part of the same clothing item?
I would load the original dress again, skip the autofit and use the Transfer Utility instead.
Sickleyields 'fit' products might help.
