Pose a figure within an image of the real world?

in New Users
Hi Everyone, I'm quite new to Daz and what I'm trying to achieve is to pose my figures realistically within images (or panoramas) of the real world.
What do you suggest I do to achieve this? Especially for the lights, shadows, etc. Should I do it inside Daz by importing the image as an HDRI? If that were the case, could someone point me to a good tutorial to perform HDRI's for DAZ? Else, what would be another suggestion?
Thank you and excuse me if this is a very silly question.

What you can do is, load an image to Environment to use as a guide.
Thanks AJ, I will try to learn about it and get back in here if I have any questions
If you are talking about dropping a figure into a photo I would set the scene/camera/lighting etc up to match the perspective/shadows/lighting of the photo as much as possible, then render with a transparent background, and assemble everything in an image editing program (photoshop etc), do final adjustments to lighting etc there.
For my Walking a New Path image, I used both AJ and Gederix's approaches. I first loaded the woods scene to my background on the Environment tab. I used this to line up my lighting for shadows and find the approximate position on the path. Then I removed the background and rendered without it. Finally I pulled both the woods and my rendered figures into Gimp as layers and adjusted positions and a little of the exposure on my render to create the final image. I find that combining them in postwork gives me more flexibility in regards to positioning my characters exactly where I want them to be in the scene.
There was a discussion about using photos as a backdrop here.
