How to use 3D bridge or merge an character to background and save.

I can't find anything about how to use the Photoshop 3D Bridge and what it is really for. I added a background to my character and I don't know where to go from here. I tried searching but sometimes if you don't use the proper term you're up the perverbial creek without any means of propulsion. I tried to render but it only renders my background. So, what am I doing wrong?

You are rendering using the camera that is aimed at the character? Or the viewport?
The Photoshop Bridge is really for sending the completed renders & Canvases over to Photoshop, but I can't use it as it doen't work with PS Elements...
