I'm not sure what their called, but the little green and red cross-hairs, is there a way to make them invisible without rendering

The 2 In the screenshot are small, barely appearing, but they are there.

Some of them I can move out of the way, but others won't seem to budge.

Those are group locators. If you use a tool that can't be used to select nodes then they will vanish, but they have to be there with a node selection tool active in order to make the group selectable.

Thanks for the tip!  I hadn't thought of that.
