WIP Daydreaming

Work in progress for a custom character I made. Zero postwork done.Any advice or feedback welcome, looking to improve my rendering skills.

    NIce use of depth of field.  I don't really have any advice, I would personally take this into photoshop to finish it, but if you want to take it further in Studio, my only reall suggestion would be to put in a background and maybe use a ghost light or point light to lighten her face just a tiny bit.

  • Yeah, a light for the face. Drop a cell phone prop on the bed, hover a point light above it as a functional but logical source of light.

    Lighting can be a trap. It's not enough to rely on sources as they organically occur in your scene. The next step is the illusion of a light source.

    The cell phone with the screen turned on is a vehicle to add an actual light that you need to bring life to the face.

    Very wistful pose, nicely done! One suggestions- the elbows could use slightly more embedding in the covers, as they don't show much weight bearing down on them. I do like the feet pose, looks very relaxed and natural.
