Or why not a physics plug-in for DAZ Studio 4?
couldn't tell you about poser, but I have done a lot of work with carrara and the physics are nice; work quite well and are easy to set up.
Poser Physics is a separately purchased plug-in (for sale right now at Content Paradise for $30). I haven't used the 2012 version yet, but I found the earlier version very easy to use. It uses ODE (Open Dynamics engine) and does rigid dynamics plus ragdoll dynamics, which I don't believe Carrara can do.
I haven't played with Carrara for years, but I believe new latest version has rigid AND soft dynamics, plus a particle generator. If you want a superior renderer, with a dynamic hair system much better than Poser's, a modeler along with the dynamics, than go with Carrara.
If you already have poser pro2012 and not Carrara, the poser route is a lot less expensive to get started playing with physics.
