Save as psd?

Is there a way to save iray renders in psd?

I only found it on Bryce http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/artzone/pub/software/bryce/reference/fm_saveimage but not DAZ3D?

No, but save as .tiff will give you the same information. If you want more than 8 bits per channel use the Canvasses sub-tab of the Advanced tab of Render Settings to create a Beauty Pass - that will create a folder with the same name as the basic render, holding an .exr firle for each canvas.

  • Just save it as a tiff file. Then you can open it in Photoshop. What I like to do is render my models with no background. Lighting can either be the enviornment lights or a light set up. Just meke sure whatever lights you use are not visable after rendering by going to the display setting for each light and turn off "Visable in Render" By rendering your model this way you can then open your rendered model in photoshop and it will be on a transparent bakground. One thing to keep in mind is the lighting on your subjuect matches the direction that is in the background your placing them into.
