Working Offline with the DIM question.
I have a Mac workstation completely offline... no wifi or net, that I like to work at. Can I download my DAZ content onto an external HD and take it to my offline workstation and transfer it to that HD and install it using DIM? Doesn't appear that I can.
Thanks,
Tim

Yes.
As Frank says, 'yes'. All you need is a copy of DIM installed on your target machine, suitably configured. It's something I do (albeit with Windoze).
Yes.
Ok, I have it installed on my workstation, but how does it find my folder with all the downloaded zips in it? The programs runs, but there is nothing in the que to install.
Install DIM on the Download PC set DIM to Download only, Your Files will be in the DIM Downloads Folder. Copy the contents to the OFF-LINE machine and PASTE them into the SAME DIM folder (Downloads) and then Boot DIM in Off-Line mode. Install your Files. Once content Is installed Copy the DIM MANIFEST folder (from the Off-line PC) and PASTE it to your Download PC DIM Manifest folder. Move or Delete the Files from the Downloads folder And Boot DIM. Your download PC will now Show as Installed for the Content and you will get Updates as they arrive. You then DL more, Move to Install, Move manifest and both versions of DIM stay in step. Just a Copy Paste dance and easy to do.
Great!! Thanks!!
I have a similar situation with a PC that doesn't have internet access being the one I want my content on, after you have it downloaded and transferred to that offline PC, where do you put it exactly? I would just like to have some clarification on how to get the content to show up in DIM once the installation files are on the computer, I just downloaded like $250 worth daz premium stuff (So like A LOT of stuff) and doing it all by hand would take forever so what locations generally do the DIM look for content to install from?
In DIM click the Settings icon (the gear in the upper right) and click on the Downloads tab. That shows the path where DIM is looking for downloads and allows you to change it..
