A question about Fire and Smoke for DAZ Studio

I purchased this asset, but so far any time I render it, it looks like a plastic blob.  What am I missing?

I'm going to take a stab at render engine mismatch, with the product using non-standard 3Delight shaders and you wishing to use Iray for the render.

I have that set... I'll check out how you can use it in Iray and post the solution here. But it's entirely possible that this is one of the cases where the material won't work in Iray at all, as the others pointed out.

Are you looking for an actual 3 dimensional prop, or would planes work for your purpose? If planes are sufficient, I'd recommend Jepe's stuff. https://www.daz3d.com/jepe

A very good 3D set for flames is https://www.daz3d.com/morphing-flames

Okay... after testing this, I have to say that it is strictly a 3Delight set, and there's no way you can convert the surface over to Iray. If you are certain you won't use it in its 3DL capacity, perhaps you return the product.
