    Hi Shay,

Wondering.... there is a terrific thread going on in the Commons about skirt rigging and how we all miss the ghost bones.

So wondering if your rig has an option for this? If not do you think it's possible to make a rig like that for an update or even a third version of this fabulous rig system you've devised??

    Thanks! :-)

Gah! The forum stopped sending me replies to my own thread again. I'm sorry, I would never ignore your post on purpose. I like you. ;) And even if I didn't, that's just rude.

The set that just came out to day has ghost bones for skirts that can be used either in conversion or in custom rigging. http://www.daz3d.com/new-releases/sickle-dress-rig-genesis-2-female

I just used Sickleyield's new Rigging for a dress for GF2.

I've been using the Genesis version for a while now. So easy to add movement handles.

It's on ShareCG if anyone's interested.

I knew you'd be an early adopter! Welcome to the G2F Rigging Party. Everyone is invited.

Looks nice, but is there an eta on the Gen 2-Gen 1 clone? (Or did I miss it somehow?)

That's up to Marketing. They haven't given me a release date yet. ;)

Thanks for the reply hon! I like you too! :-)

Yea, I would love it if there were ghost bone rigging transfers for Gene 01.

Another good rigging template idea to consider is one for flowing sleeves that are rigged with extra bones and
Another good rigging template idea to consider is one for capes.

Both needed for various outfits released. Not sure if DAZ is going to make clones for Gen 3 gals but there are a few outfits I have that would be really great to transfer over to Gene 02F or even Gene 01 with good rigging options.

Love your work and all your help over these past months! XO

IT DOES? I tried transferring the Sorceress from V4 over to Genesis and what ever template I chose made a royal mess of it. Probably not yours hon but boy I totally gave up on that idea.

Sorceress has a transfer-unfriendly mesh with the big puddling skirt and giant sleeves. It would still have to be moved more with its morphs than the bones.

I hope so. I think DAZ shares my view that giving customers more options is a good thing - people will buy new things because they're new, but with the ability to use multiple generations of clothes we can let them bargain-shop through the catalog, too, and that benefits everyone.

Still wishing someone would build a clone for the Gen3 kids.

Making a clone that works well and can legally be sold is difficult, requiring as it does the ability to morph the figure into the shape of the character cloned by eye in a modeler. Fans of those figures (as with all kids' content) are enthusiastic but also probably too small a group to pay back the significant effort that would require. If it doesn't happen as a fan freebie, it probably won't happen.

To verify, is the clone merely the ability to wear the G2F clothing or is it also the shape itself for use with morphs and such? If the latter, does it have the altered joints?

I'm not sure I understand the question. The clone technically does exist as an invisible morph, but you won't want to use it as that. It's ugly and nowhere near smooth and shapely enough to actually pass for G2F.
