Manually changed directory settings and Daz is unable to locate files

Hi all,

I am a new user, and I downloaded DIM 2 days ago

While trying to manually move directories, I've managed to make a mess out of the configuration of both DIM and Daz Studio.

Since my main drive (C:) is very small, I tried to manually move everything in my storage drive (G:) and then reconfigure DIM and Daz Studio to dump updates or search for files in new directories.

Please have a look at the first screenshot for the current settings.

The current result is that (in a way or another) the metadata "seems" to be read correctly, but the actual content isn't located in the right directory and Daz Studio keeps giving errors.

I've been trying to tinker with various paths, and uninstall/reinstall from scratch using DIM, but I still can't find the elephant in the room.

I also tried reading about moving directories from one place to another, but since I've tampered with the configuration in Daz Studio and DIM, and since there doesn't seem to be a "reset all settings" button, I'm hoping someone might give me a bit of insight on where the issue could be located.

The typical error I get in the logs is "2018-05-17 19:24:55.289 Could not open file :  File does not exist."

Thanks in advance for any insight you can share.

Grey

If DIM is installing to the G:/DAZ3D/Content Update folder then that is the folder you need to have selected under each Format heading in DS.

    Fantastic!

Thanks a lot for your help and the super quick reply.

That fixed the issue I had been banging my head over for the past two days (I kept randomly trying almost every directory within G:/DAZ3D).

I can finally start my first steps in creating something.

    Cheers,

    Grey
