Surface and Clothing colors totally different Workspace Render

Hello,

after creating the first scenes with the Genesis basics I noticed some big differences in the render result.
My main problem is with planes (primitive Objects) I created and applied a "texture" using a jpg-picture.
No matter how I turn the view in the workspace, the color of the picture stays the same - OK.
When rendering the picture it turns into white for a perpendicular view on it or it turns really dark looking at it in a low angle. That's not wanted. The color (lightness) should stay as it is in the workspace view.

What should I do with the color parameters (diffuse, specular, ambient, ...) ? Or any further parameter?

My intention was in a first primitive way to imitate the beach sand by simply using a suitable picture.

Thanks
Andrew

The white will be specular highlights - turn the specular strength down, or set the Lighting model option to Matt, both in the Surfaces pane. To make the plane visible regardless of light, set the Ambient colour to white and Ambient strength to 100%.

    Hello Richard,

    your suggestion did not work.
So I chose a different way:
Diffuse, Specular and Ambient color to white.
    But:
Diffuse and Specular strength to very low values ~5%
    Ambient strength 100%
    Surface is and was Matte.

    But thanks. Anyway it helped.
