Using Graphmate to Adjust timing?

DekeDeke Posts: 1,635

I use Keymate all the time, but am unfamiliar with Graphmate. Can it be used to adjust the timing of an action. I have a character walking using an ani-block baked to the timeline, but want him to walk slower. I would love for a way to grab all the walking keyframes and simply stretch them out over more frames. It seems Graphmate only works on one joint at a time. Is there a way to select the entier animation of the character?

I've only used graphmate for bending motions files like a car skidding around a corner or throwing a ball and making it arch smoothly stuff like that,.  if you have & know how to use keymate.  you can change the frame rate setting to slow down the motion of each keyframe on the top of the timeline., its time consuming though going through each keyframe..

But the best way & the way I would do it is save the baked motion as a aniblock then change the timing in animate2 its quicker & it leaves you with a new aniblock for your library and you can break down or edit each part of the aniblock later with keymate if yuo need to reuse motions again

Thanks. I suppose another solution is to adjust the timing in the aniblock before baking.  I haven't saved aniblocks before and will give that a try.

Its pretty simple after you d it a few times.  just right click on top of the animate2 timeline and click save "keyframes as aniblock" .. then a pop-up will come up and seeming you already have the keyframes baked.   I would choose saving under the direct copy POV option, when you click ok it will then place a new aniblock on the timeline where your keyframes were baked. then just right click the aniblock and save it as a new aniblock in the folder of your choosing.  I would sugest saving yuor scene before you start crearting aniblocks so you have your scene to fall back on

    Good luck.
