I helped a friend get started with Carrara this afternoon. Here is what we came up with:

Cyborg

Loved the side angle of the legs, you could just imagine a carcass of some sort being dragged from that angle.

Thanks for the comments--we had a lot of fun finding good angles for this. I parented the camera to the hip at one point--the effect was cool, but it didn't edit well.

I like that carcass idea---I need to do some runtime digging!

Nice work! Would love to see it again with some sound fx. Maybe a slow creepy tune with a Darth Vader type breath?
    Good job though!

Thanks! I've been working on some follow-up shots trying to get a story working, but real life calls. Does anyone know where to find free sound fx/music clips? I probably won't add any sound until I get the whole thing done--I'm not having much luck finding resources anyway...

    Hi Salem,

I usually buy my sound fx from AudioJungle. However, there's a free site here that pretty much has everything, as long as you don't mind searching through fx to find the best quality.

    It's called, sound dogs... http://www.sounddogs.com/

    1) Type what your searching for in the top left-hand search bar.
    2) Listen to the samples until you find what you're looking for.
    3) Right click on the file you want and choose 'save as.'
    4) Slurp coffee while file saves to your PC.
    5) Listen to your new download.

I agree with the others. Nice work!

Another source of free sounds is http://www.freesound.org/.
One place for free music is http://incompetech.com/music/royalty-free/

There are many sites for free sounds or music. Where you siphon from depends on what you need.
Paid sites usually provide higher quality sound files. But you can find decent quality ones on the free sites and there are things you can do in post to make them sound better. :-)
