Fingers - Need help with joint control

Hi,

I am finishing up my Fantasy Shapes for Gene-02F but the 3 finger morph I made, while it looks great with the fingers in the default position when I move the hands fingers the pinky pops back out and not in a pretty way. So wondering a few things

Is there a way to freeze the 3 pinky bones and use the ERC Freeze to make sure this only affects this particular morph?

Can I delete the bones I don't need to make sure they don't affect the morph and ERC freeze it or will that mess up the rigging for other morphs and worse yet the rigging for Gene-02F?

Can I do away with the weight mapping for just this morph to keep the bones from moving at all?

Hopefully someone in the know can help me with this. :-)

    Take a leaf out of the DAZ monster morphs:

    Add a new channel, set to 1 by default and then subtract your three finger morph from that. Then multiply all the joint rotations on the finger you want to lock by the result - when you morph is zero the fingers will move normally, when your morph is set to 1 they will all be multiplied by zero and so will be locked.
