Gladiator Images

First of all let me thank all of the fine posters on the forums who have answered my questions and given such good advice to a new 3D artist. I'm creating a series of gladiator images for a project so I decided to showcase some here. They are all rendered with Luxus. Some have more post work than others, but it is minimal post work overall.

First up a weapons scene.

    Evocative!

I love the lighting and composition on this one.

I think it's absolutely stunning. Sad, too- knowing it would eventually (or shortly) become so bloodied. The sheer elegance of it is breathtaking. VERY nicely done!

One of the first gladiators sans weapons and armor.

Many of the textures in this image are originals.

A Savondir knight down on his luck seeks his fortune in the capital of distant Amorr and the deadly arena.

Very nice work! The lighting, composition, and realism of the renders are impressive. I also particularly like the grim facial expressions.

This really portrays the raw power of these men- their determination and mindset are really well done! Original textures on some of this- that's impressive. This has an elegance that is hard to combine with the subject matter, but you've managed to do it. It's not grim and gritty, in other words. The "before the fight" appearance of the battle gear. (And not wanting to see the "after", lol)

I like how the backgrounds fit in with the subjects. They do look like mean fighting machines, too.

I love Spartacus, Rome, Gladiator (the movie), etc.

This is bringing me back! In a good way. Great work.

The "Savondir knight" is my favorite - he looks like someone you would not want to end up in the arena with...
