a quick question about v4 shoes to start

Hi All

I understand genesis has problems with v4 shoes and there are various work arounds, but when i just place shoes in to a scene
they are appear to be at the wrong angle (high heels image) .
I've highlighted to bones to show these are at a different position to the shoe? just guessing.
I'm a newbie to DAZ Studio, but have experience in 3d modeling.

When I attach to a figure they distort as expected, but im guessing this angle doesn't help things.
Some shoes do come in at the right angle (flat to the ground), which im guessing is correct.

Any help will be greatly received

Cheers
AdamB

The shoes (or anything else) need to fit the zeroed state of the figure, with the feet pointing down, if theya re to attach to teh feet directly. Some shoes take other a[[roaches though, modelling flat to the end of the legs and intending that the feet will be hidden (closed shoes and boots, often do this) or hanging down below the foot and relying on a morph to fit the foot to the shoe. The feet of Genesis are flat to the ground, which requires Auto_fit to reshape the shoes more radically than it does other items; if the shoes rely on a morph to fit the feet to the shoe then that won't be available, if they require the feet to be hidden then that will still be the case.
