How to (easily?) load V4 to Genesis 2 and load V4 content
There's probably a thread relating to this... but I can't find it.
Anyway, I loaded G2F then the V4 UV (V4 for G2F). And that's where it ends; nothing will load - no clothing for V4, only for G2F. If I load a material preset such as Bree, is my figure G2, and what of V4?
Confusing. I'm missing a crucial step somewhere along the line.
Assistance would be much appreciated.

I can try to explain this.
The V4 for G2F includes shape morphs, so that you can change the shape of G2F to match the shape of V4.
The V4 for G2F product also includes the V4 UVs for G2F.
The UVs and the body shape are independent. You can use the V4 UVs on any shape of G2F. You can use the V4 shape with some other UVs like the V5 UVs.
Bree was originally the default skin texture for V5 and used the V5 UVs. Bree is also the default skin texture for G2F, but this version uses the G2F UVs. I assume this is based on the same skin material, but it has been transformed to the new UVs.
You can apply either version of the Bree skin to G2F along with V4 shape for G2F. You then have a character that has the body/face shape of V4 and a skin either from G2F or V5, depending on which version you apply.
I have had only normal level of problems autofitting V4 clothes on G2F. For example:

This Hongyu’s JerseyDress 2 for V4 available on Renderosity. I had to added a smoothing modifier to get it to fit better, but it worked. One of the figures in V6, the other is G2F. I did not use the V4 shape. You should be able to autofit V4 clothes to G2F with or without the V4 shape, but the V4 for G2F includes the support for auto fit of V4 clothes to G2F. Without this package only Genesis 1 clothes are supported for auto fit. The auto fit of V4 clothes is independent of the V4 shape or V4 UVs.
Thank you Mark 128, that helped me to understand better.
However, I'm only able to load some V4 content onto the G2F/V4 figure; some (the Sorceress) won't load at all. Additionally, the DIM to installed everything but the files aren't in the same place.
Anyway, here's what I did after reading some threads in the forum - I load G2F, then apply the V4 UV which turns her silver and after that it won't accept any mat preset. If I get rid of the V4 UV and just use the G2 mat, how do I load the V4 without it looking like a robot? In other words, how do I load V4 and have it usable?
I applied the hair (originally for V4) - it was unsupported, but that was fixed. The skirt, however (My Princess) can't be fitted because there is no option for a long skirt (knee length only). So, attached is the mess I ended up with.
I'm not sure what the set V4 UV material preset is needed for. Usually the UVs are set as part of the skin material. preset. I have occasionally gotten them set incorrectly somehow. You can change them on the surface tab after you have the skin applied. To use the V4 UVs you just apply a skin that uses the V4 UVs. Now the skin preset has to be in .duf format to work on G2F and most V4 skin presets are not, but one you should have that is in .duf format is the Genesis 1 default female skin Lana. This is is People -> Genesis -> Materials -> Sample Lana. You can just apply this skin to G2F. It should automatically select the V4 UVs. It did when I tried it.
The V4 Sorceress outfit is old content and is organized completely differently. The icons under people -> victoria 4 -> clothing for this outfit only load material, not the dress. The icons to load the dress are under posser formats -> Figures -> V4Sorceress. This dress, however, will probably not work with auto fit. It has long dangling sleeves, that are unlikely to work correctly after auto fit. This kind of a dress is very hard to work with on the actual Victoria 4 figure. You need to do lots of manual adjustments using the morphs to the sleeves and skirt to get it to look right after posing. Auto fit to Genesis or G2F, it will be very difficult to use. DAZ has a very liberal return policy. If you can't get it to work, you can return it.
