Yes:

I know that I have posted on this subject before, but I just can't seem to get a handle on it. I have selected the genisus figure in Daz 3d Studio. I went up to edit and copied the selected figure. After I copied it, I then went up to paste to figure, when I moved the original figure back, there wasn't any other figure there, or I couldn't find my copy.

Please tell me what step am missing with this matter. Why can I not find my copied figure, after I copied and pasted it to it's original. I sure do appreciate the support.

Thanks again

Michael

There is no copy and paste function for figures in DAZ Studio, however, there are several things you can do.

If you have posed and clothed your figure, then save it as a Scene Subset, and then merge it into your current scene, you can do that as many times as you like (within reason) File > Merge, or double click on the saved scene icon.

You can also use Create > Node Instance, and that will copy and paste an original figure, but you cannot pose them seperately, they all move together

Jimmy_C- if I recall, that brings the merged items in at World Center (XYZ=000) doesn't it? What was it that got the popup so you can get the studio to bring it in where you have them in the original scene? (in other words, the merged come in where they were at in THEIR scene)

You should be able to hold down the 'Alt' key, and drag and drop the item into the viewport. A sort of target appears in the viewport while you are holding down the Alt key, and you can move that target around in the scene. When the target is where you want the item to be, release the LMB, and it will load at that point.

    Is that what you mean?
