I double clicked on the DAZ Shader Mixer icon to see what it does and now my screen is permanently this way! It's grey on the sides and white in the center. How do I get my screen back to normal? See the pic..
Open a Tab, the Names on the Side are TABS. They each open a different PART of DAZ Studio. You do not have to stay with the Default OPEN layout. DAZ Studio can be Changed to the way you like it. It's fully customizable as far as what you see on screen and when you see it.
I know that. The problem is now that box around my Genesis character is permanent. There is NOTHING I can do to get it to go away. I now have to go with Hollywood Blvd. forever. The City Limits option is ruined like this but Hollywood Blvd is the only option I can use that doesn't put this box around my figure.
you seems change setting of 3d view without intention.,,
I can not tell why it happen when you tweak shader mixer,
but I think the frame is aspect frame of view,,
it shows you the frame when you render the scene with current view.
may you check off "show aspect frame" option of 3d viewport ?
click right top small square of your 3d view port, like a small ver code , then select option.
every tab has this small sqare icon, and you can access tab option by clicking them.
if you have known already,,or have tried it,, I am sorry.
I so misunderstood your Question. That is the RENDER aspect window. It auto sizes centered from your camera in use if turned on. The Grey parts will not be in the Finished Render. Its a way to know if you do not need things loaded that will not be rendered. I prefer it on. I then know the Framed part is all that will be in my Image when I hit the Render button. The FRAME (Aspect window) will change when you change to a different render size.

Try this, Window menu, Select a New Style and or Layout.
Here's what happens when I try that and select City Limits. I don't know what to do to fix this.
I even uninstalled and reinstalled DAZ and it's doing the same thing. All because I clicked on the Shader Mixer. I'm screwed...
