how to reliably ground a figure during motion? (daz)

i have been animating alot, and the same problem i keep running into is a gliding feet problem. when trying to animate pivots, pushes or complex movements, i just cant seem to keep the feet grounded to the same point on the floor...i tried using pins and and locking translation, but either it dident work, or i did not do it right. i guess i am trying to get the same motion control you see in Motionbuilder by autodesk, where you grab the spine, and can move them side to side, or up and down, and the feet stay in there place, as the body moves and bends, how would i do this in daz? or at least make it look like i have done it? (i use the keyframeing method of animating, mostly)

----thank you for your time.
