I few tips on cloths needed

Is there a way of just clamping shoes onto feet? So that they do not move? Even if it was fake I would rather the shoe was stuck on, as the fit to option doesn't seem to work?

Would anybody please advise, on the best method. I have a few questions which I am not sure on.

Do you parent the PlantformPump shoe by selecting the whole thing and parenting to Victoria 4.3?

I noticed that in the shoe object, the IK chain starts from the hips down to the foot. I am a little unsure on which element you select when 'Fitting to' Victoria 4.2?

Is it bad to parent and fit at the same time? Do you do one or the other?

How would you go about fitting PartyDressV4, and PlatformPump, to victoria 4.2?

Many thanks

You are getting mixed up between 'conforming' clothing and 'props' here I think. Not to worry, most people do in the beginning.

The Party Dress should 'conform' to V4 automatically when you double click on the icon in the Content Library, or drag and drop it onto the figure. Move V4 slightly, and if the dress does not move with here, then it has not conformed, and you will need to select the dress in the Scene pane, right click in the Viewport, and use the 'Fit To' option. You can also find Fit To in the Parameters pane with the dress selected. You should never parent any conforming item, there is no need anyway, since the clothing item will move with the figure.

There are a mutitude of morphs supplied with this dress, and you should not have a problem fitting it to V4. You have a pose shown above, which pokes the leg straight out through the dress. That will happen with any clothing (except possibly dynamic), and there are usually morphs to work with the problem. Select the dress, go to the Parameters pane, and have a look at the supplied morphs.

I just looked at the Product Page, and I see this :

    •Skirt Handle Hide/Show Utility MAT (.PZ2)
That tells me that the dress has posing handles so that you can move the dress around on the figure, and you will find MAT I just referred to in the 'Pose' folder in Poser Formats.

Shoes shoukd fit the character that they were intended for, and there are somteimes files in the Pose folder to assist with that, have a look on the Product Page to see what is supplied with it, and if you need any more help, please ask.

Thanks for the reply. I see there are morphs such as

    FBM Alice
    Emma_CM

    down to

    Front Loosen..

It's not that they don't fit, they just don't stay on. When you apply the shoes to the feet they will follow the feet but they do not follow precisley. They are called 'Platform Pumps by Idler' I am using Victoria 4.2, with a Covena head. If that is going to work?

A foot pose came with it, which I used, but I'm not sure the best way of executing the shoe on procedure.

One shoe, seems to fit fine, but the other, the moment you fit to Victoria 4.2 just does this...

When selecting a shoe, where is the pivot meant to be?

According to the Product Page for the pumps, there is a Left and Right version.

There is also a Foot Pose as well, which you have used, select each shoe in the Scene pane in turn, and apply that pose. That should work. The shoes are a conforming figure, so the Fit To should work, and put them in the right place, you should not need to parnet anything. Just remember that the shoes are two seperate objects, and don;t work as a pair.

Ok I got it kind of working. The toes did't want to play ball so I have hidden them. Seems to do the trick. They just pop out when they like. Open toe shoes would be more tricky.
