Yes, my poses work with the figure they are designed for. You don't need a Capsces to use them. ;) However, if you've purchased any Daz figure bundles, then it is likely that you already have a set. I never imagined that anyone would think Capsces was required to use the poses, so it is interesting to know.

I didn't think of the word as a requirement. I thought of it as a "type." Like, for example, "everyday poses," or "on the phone poses," or "sitting poses." And since I had no idea what "Capsces poses" were, I figured I probably don't need them. :D The more we talk about it, the funnier the situation is. :D (Or maybe it's because it's almost 2 in the morning here, and I'm getting tired. :D) How did I miss this? I really need to take a good look at what I've missed so far. :)
The name played tricks with my mind too. Would an abbreviation, like CDI Poses, break the spell? My brain is looking for "Poses by ...", but Daz likes putting the company name first in their product titles. Or how about adding a trademark symbol, like Capsces® Poses. That would definitely break the spell, and make you think twice.

It's just the name of a PA in the store - like Luthbel, Val3dart, Predatron, or any other. I don't think it means anything in particular.
It comes from a combination of capricorn & pisces

Ooh I never knew that!
Thanks!
Pwiecek got it. I'm (Beth) a Capricorn and my husband (Don) is a Pisces.
Waaaaaaa. Okay, this is too funny... :D Or sad, however you look at it. :D
Whenever I saw those poses, I always skipped them because I didn't know what the word meant, so I was sure I didn't need those kinds of poses... :D
I'm going to head to the store now to take another look with a different understanding of the products... :D

We need a hot chili prop, Capsces Capsaicin.
OK, maybe not.
There you go. Capsces is so close to capsaicin. Every time you see Capsces, just think hot. ;)
Thanks for the thoughts, all. It is interesting information.
