I HATE INSTALL MANAGER!!!!!!!!! PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!

Ok , I have moved to 4.6 starting to wish I didnt! Now that there is an Install Manager I have done nothing but pull my hair out all day!!!! I first learned that I had to install all of my 3rd party stuff, free stuff, or just older stuff all manually. Ok??? I kinda get the new meta data stuff but dont understand why make an Install Manager that only does the newest stuff?? Most of my go to content is the several hundred dollars worth of content bought from Daz Store and many many free content items! Soooo anyway, after 2 days of trying to manually download my stuff (Total pain in the a#@) I needed to get help here as with 4.6 file paths were a pain for me to get right as I said I had to manually do because none of it would install right by unzipping into My Lybrary folder.

So now I got that done and go into Daz to make sure everything works and all of my manual downloaded stuff works great after a little help from some of you here and I want to say THANK YOU!!!! guys but as far as everything that the Install Manager downloaded is a disaster!!!! I kid you not , 90% of all of it will not work right!!! or at all!!!! My Genesis characters have missing files (But they work) and off the top of my head:

Genesis Hyper Suit
M4 base
M5
V4
V4 2 base
V4.2 morphs
Genesis Starter Essentials (works but has missing files) and yes I downloaded it seperate
V5
Ape world gorilla
Battle worn
BEO Reaper
BEO2K10 v2
Coalition Claymore Armor
and many more!!! Some of it works but not like it should and most has missing files, some only 1 and others up to 12 missing files!!!
SOOOOOO can I unistall Install Manager???? Would rather install myself as I know where everything is. I cant stand trying to dig around inside Daz file system to be 99.9% sure that Iam going to screw something up!! PLEASE1 can someone give me an easy fix????? I love Daz Studio but Iam being honest Iam growing very tired of what seems to be an always unstable or not 100% working software. Iam NOT!!! bashing Daz at all Its a free software and I get that. Iam not a #d master but Iam not stupid either and understand Iam learning!, Iam just very frustrated at the moment and to ventLOL!!! sorry if Iam crying to much I have invested alot!!!! of time into learning and want to be very very good at this!!! Ok Iam done!! sorry but need help!! Thanks

    Install Manager will install all your content from DAZ 3D, not just new stuff with metadata.

    Can you post these 2 screenshots:
    1) In DS, Edit > Preferences > Content Library > Content Directory Manager, expand the "DAZ Studio Formats" and "Poser Formats"
    2) In DIM, on Ready to Install tab check the "Show Details" box in the lower right

    When you post near the bottom of the page it says "Attachments" Browse to the place you saved the first screenshot, then do it again for the second.

    Ok,, if Iam seeing this right isnt that file path wrong??? C:/Public ???? Everything I downloaded manually I did not go the public route and all works!! So do I just change the path and reinstall??/ Most important is: do I need to unistall of of it(DIM) downloads or just reinstall into the right path???

    The default install location in DIM is different than the one you have in DS. Click the Gear next to the Content Path Shortcut in DIM to add the location you use in DS, and use that location to install. You can uninstall the items from the Installed tab in DIM and they'll reappear in the Ready to Download tab (or Ready to Install tab if the download is still there).

    Ok, this morning I did what you said and what do ya know!! It seems like its all there and running!!! Thank you thank you thank you!!! For a long time Ive had issues with this software and seemed like I wasnt learning anything! Now Iam starting to see how things work and I would never be able to do that without your guys help!!!! Thank You!!!
