A Film Noir inspired

Been playing with the monochrome. The second and last one are my two best i think.

    EXCELLENT WORK!

    You have the noir style down – not just the lighting, but the attitude. At a smaller size, this one could pass for a stylized photograph. At the full size, though, her skin does have a slightly plastic look that isn't in line with the detail in the rest of the photo. By this, I mean that if we can see each and every hair that clearly, we should see some more texture on her skin. But that's a small detail; keep up the great work and I look forward to seeing more from you soon.

    Thanks for the compliment. Raine (The figure i used) had the perfect look to do this. As for the skin... This seems to become my biggest issue. I saved the scene so i will do some investigating as to how i can improve on the skin as i agree it looks a bit flat.

    Try adding .02 metallic flakes (or so) and see if that helps the skin. I'm just experimenting with this technique myself, so no promises. On the down side, messing with metallic can increase render times. If you try it, let me know how it comes out because I'm curious. I like what you're doing. Keep going!
