with the new genesis 2 female, most of my old clothes for the original genesis work just fine with the auto fit tool, so that is not a problem.

my problem is i cant get of my dozens of skins and maps onto her, which i spent quite a bit of cash on...is there any way to use those with genesis 2? because with the old genesis1 i could put any skin on it, from M4 and V4 and any other figure, then just set the UV to that figure in the surface tab, and boom im done. ...and what about all these extras and morphs and shapes for genesis1 i have?

(update) if you save a skin on another figure as a materials preset, and you can then apply it to genesis 2. one of the two uvs you can set on her should do, though not all of them will work.

I think you have to load your Mats and convert them all to .duf BEFORE you can use that, though. Whereas before one only had to swap UVs. Way to make things more complicated, Daz. Especially if one is trying to use this thing in Poser.
