Given that the average item in the store is around $18, and the average sale is around 50%, which leaves you with $9, of which you will get 50% after brokerage... you'd have to sell over a hundred items per piece, every month. So, unless you are super popular with high quality (like Stonemason) or very popular and churn out several sets per month... the answer would probably be... no.
I'm no vendor, but I know that a lot of people here say that items are too high priced, and that they will only buy at highest percentage off (so that would probably be at the 70%+ rate)... you actual winning marge would be even smaller.
On top, you'd have to come up with really good content, that also sells, to actually stand a leg of a chance to make it at the store, or even into the store for that matter.
Again, I am no vendor, so if one of the vendors reads this, they can probably give you as better idea of what to expect.
Thanks BeeMKay
When I first started I was giving freebies away like crazy, some of my freebie textures had download numbers into 4 figures. So I decided to try and go commercial. My first 2 packs, despite having a modest price, Sold precisely 12 copies of each. At that point I decided that it wasn't going to be easy trying to make money out of selling and I actually made more money from at first ShareCG, who at one stage paid commission on popular downloads, and then a donate button on my web page when ShareCG did away with the perks.
My freebies have remained popular
