Yesterday I snapped up Cartoonized for Genesis 8 Female

I do love my toons smiley

This is my first render using this on three of my girls. I love this product and I'm so pleased the PA is going to do a male version.

Having had some fun with pwToon, I picked up Visual Style Shaders when they in Fast Grab. Today I've been experimenting with them and I'm finding I really like them. I picked up the Manga Style Shaders too but I haven't had much time to look at those yet.

    Fascination

    Love this one! smiley

Thank you @Noswen, that's really kind of you. I spent hours on this one, losing track of time because I was enjoying working on it so much smiley

The cartoon picture is incredibly cute! What cat models did you use?

    It's Noodel by 3DUniverse @TigerAnne.

I love their products smiley and I'm slowly collecting them.

For this render I had an urge to do something realistic. This is 'Girl in a Garden'. I used Ruxandra but changed her eyes for ones from P3D Riza to tone in better with the dress.

A test piece I did for the NPR II thread using Visual Shaders, pwToon and pwCatch. No postwork, just pure render, except for my signature. I had a lot of fun with this but it has made me realise how little I know about lighting and rendering in 3Delight.

This what it looks like in the viewport before pressing the render button.

The drone isn't a visible object? Anyway, it's a really cool picture! It makes me want to watch cartoon shows. x) I love those.

  • MollytabbyMollytabby Posts: 1,163

The drone is reflected on the wall. It’s out of the line of site of the camera ;)

Thank you :-) I'm jumping around all over the place with styles and renders at the moment, but I'm having a lot of fun!

She is lovely!  I actually have a whole category for each generation in my custom categories that is called eyes.  I added each character's eyes to this category so I can just scroll through and pick lol.

The reflected drone is fantastic, I love that!

    Thank you @IceDragonArt smiley

I think I need to do something about setting up custom catagories for myself. Something I need to research and find out how to do, as my runtime is getting quite large now after 11 months or so of collecting.

    He Noticed Me!

I love the new Cartoonized for Genesis 8 Female. Mixed with other morph sets it becomes very, very, useful. With this image I didn't automatically use the Cartoonize setting, but instead used the sliders to get a different type of figure from Girl 8. I then tweaked with the Genesis Female morph sets. I also applied @Canary3D 's Manga Marker Materials. Both Cartoonize and the Managa Marker Materials are for G8F so working on the male figure in the background was a bit of problem. I couldn't get him looking cartoon-like and using the Manga Markers and I had to some work arounds. There is a Cartoonize for G8M in production and I'd really love it if @Canary3D was able to make a Manga set for G8M. I'd snap it up in an instant! It's a really good set of shaders and I use it lot.

One showcasing the The Brute and Mousso's Gail. I was tempted by the Pro bundle but in the end I spent my budget on other great deals in the PA sale so I picked just the Brute character to add to the G8 gene pool. I couldn't have both but I'll be watching out for any good deals on the Pro Bundle or individual figures for The Brute in the future.

  • You can find a link on the first page of my new thread to the pages I did on how to do custom categories.  If you have any questions just let me know.  Its a a bit of work to set up initially but after that, adding new stuff is easy and I know exactly where to find my stuff.

Thank you @IceDragonArt I'll take a look. I really do need to do something about this now as I spend quite a lot of time hunting through products.

    Playing in the Fairy Well

This is Fern for Genesis 8 after some morph work using Cartoonize for Genesis 8 Females. I'm really loving RiverSoftArts Clothing Converter from Genesis 3 Female to Genesis 8 Female, I have so many clothes to choose from now for Genesis 8 and no autofit issues. Having a good range of shader sets means I can make the outfits different.

    Red Shoes, Red Hair

Using the same Cartoonized model of Fern as above, here I've changed her hair, and outfit and used Visual Style Shaders for the render.

  • What amazing cartoons and renders as such!!

  • MollytabbyMollytabby Posts: 1,163

Thank you so much @Saphirewild smiley

I'm quietly learning all out these shaders as my machine can cope much better with 3Delight than with Iray. That's not to say I'm stopping using Iray. I am trying to find ways to make it work better for me. I read lots and lots of threads in the hope that I can find the magic formula to cut down the render times, lol.

  • Are you using a laptop?

The reason I ask is because when I render in IRay on my laptop it goes to black screen and stays there untill I hard boot it.

But 3Delight does not do that to me at all!!

The characters and the background match perfectly.

No, I'm using a desktop - an iMac. I got it before I found out about Daz Studio. I do love it (I wanted a Mac for more than twenty years) and I don't have the budget to get anything else. It must be really awkward not seeing how a render is going @Saphirewild. I can at least see any mistakes I've made in the set up and stop it before it renders for any length of time. It's just awefully slow and I worry about the fan being on for so long.

@Noswen, thank you smiley I spent a long time on the lighting for that one. Marshian's products made all the difference.

I'm so glad you like the skin settings. I love this render with the settings, you did a really cute job with the morph adjustments to Girl 8 - she's very cute!

    Thank you!

Your skin settings were the inspiration to have a go at this smiley

    Witch and Pumpkins

This is a render using the witch hat and pumpkins kindly created as freebies by @bubblecloud

They can be found here: https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/263596/bubblecloud-s-freebies#latest

These freebies have an amazing number of morphs and the hat was really easy to to fit to Joonie's head. What started out as just 'trying out' these items ended up being a day of fun creating this render. The Daz products I used are listed in the gallery posting.
