Control deep shadow map pass

Hi
I want to create a scripted render pass which will use deep shadow map but I don't know how to control the attributes of the shadow pass as in the scripting examples I've seen the following line with some parameters passed to it, but that is clearly not enough for what I want to do
aShadows = Renderer.doDefaultShadowPass
