Map Transfer: Michael 4 UV to Genesis 8 UV
Hi,
I tried to transfer Michael 4 textures to Genesis 8 Male Base with Cayman Studios' Legacy UVs but Map Transfer can't add the geoshell textures.
Is there a way to fulfill the missing parts ?
I want G8 textures in order to apply G8 LIE textures (tattoo, dirt, blood, ...)

Are the materials in .duf format? I can't recall if that is a requirement. Are you selecting the GeoGrafts to apply the materials?
Yes, I set all the geograft surfaces in the correct templates with the G8 surfaces. The M4 textures were saved as a Material Preset before to be applied to the Genesis 8 figure.

Yes before using Map Transfer, M4 textures are loaded on the geograft.
Once the transfer is done, I obtain G8 textures but the geograft surfaces are missing (the screenshot above).
I see no interest if I must load Legacy UVs geograft for these parts because the LIE textures won't be compatible with the geograft UV map.
I don't think it actually can be done as the geografts are not the same vertex mesh as the rest by themselves even though joined/fitted they are
this is why people use Blacksmith 3D, Blender or Ultimate Unwrap 3D to repaint
It's sad because Map Transfer was able to convert a big part.
I am assuming you are using the Legacy UVs for G8?
Start off by loading up G2M or Genesis Male and applying your M4 texture to him
Use GenX2 to save out the texture preset so that it is now for Genesis male or G2M
then to get to G8, I find it easier to go to the Content Library Tab
Excpand Products
Expand L
select the Legacy UVs product
Load up and select your G8M
then double click the !Prepare Genesis item
Find the textures you want to use on G8 and apply them (Don't change from what is selected in the scene tab)
You will end up like with what you have above
Then double click the Apply Michael 5/6 UVs depending on which one you made through GenX2
Sorry, I misunderstood the question. As Misty says, this can't be done - you'd need Genesis 8 UVs for the geoGraft (which I don't think they have - and the surface group bundaries may be wrong), use Map Transfer separately on the GeoGrafts, and then composite with the maps baked from the rest of the mesh.
You should still be able to add LIE tattoos over the M4 UVs, you just might have to fiddle a bit where tats cross the seams (So it wouldn't be a 1 click option to add the tats anymore)
