Changing mc6 files into pz2 files usable in DS

Hi there.
I have been trying to learn how to change mc6 files into pz2 files that can be used in DS.
From these two places
https://cyonixgfx.deviantart.com/art/Converting-mc6-Files-to-pz2-194920273
https://daz3dcookbook.wordpress.com/fixing-daz-studios-content-folders-location-for-3rd-party-content-when-it-just-doesnt-work/
and maybe some other sources I got two general methods.
On the one hand, if the mc6 file is to be used with a figure (character, clothing, etc.), change "mtlCollection" to "figure". The modified text then needs to be saved as a pz2 file.
On the other hand, if the mc6 material files are associated with props (.pp2), replace "mtlcollection" with "actor (object name)", with the object name equal to the name of the pp2 file. Then save the modified file as a pz2 file.
Now, these two procedures have worked for me most of the time, but I have found a problem when the mc6 file is a material to be applied to different pp2 prop files, say tree1.pp2, tree2.pp2, tree3.pp2, etc . I have tried using one of the names in the list, for instance the first one, as "object name" and that sometimes works for all the files in the list, but other times it does not work at all, for anyone.
Any suggestion on how to circunvent this problem?
Thanks.
Jose

You don't need to edit the files, DS has been able to read .mc6 files for some time. However, it is still limited to the basic settings and cannot handle the advanced Shader Tree data whatever you do.
Thanks for the comment, but what I said is based in what I found using Daz 4.9. I found quite a number mc6 files that Daz could not read and after changing them the way I explained, it could. So, in this case, editing the files solves the problem. Is there an easier way? I don't know, usually there is one.
Still I would like to know how to solve the problem of a mc6 file that applies to several different pp2 prop files.
