.obj file with more than 3 faces per line?

in New Users
I found out that 3 faces (per line) means a triangle, 4 faces, a square.
But what is the meaning of 5 or more faces per line?
I read the documents but couldn't find any answer.

Those are vertices, if you mean the f lines. A face can have any number of vertices in an OBJ file - it's just that quads and triangles are recommended or required for many purposes, those with five or more vertices are called (and frequently cursed as) n-gons.
Thank you so much for your answer Richard!
