grrrr nothing is ever easy
I used Adobe Autorigger on him and it won't import back into Carrara
it imported into iClone 3Dxchange but he lost all his shading domains
I might try PoserPro11 on my other PC later
video
rendered in Carrara after re-export so might be FBX year
how cool is that wendy
I am disappointed the Mixamo FBX did not import though so I needed iClone
if it had I could have shared all the steps for you and everyone else
Poser failed to import the mesh too
Wendy, would importing it into DAZ Studio work ? Then you could save it as a DUF file, just wondering ?
no
DAZ studio mangles FBX imports dreadfully
I tried the Mixamo site to see what it's all about. Tried exporting FBX to Studio - yuk result.
Out of curiosity I tried exporting the download from Mixamo as an FBX - Unity, and it worked !
ahhh maybe Unity like Carrara uses an earlier FBX year
Will have some fun rigging the CGTrader and Turbosquid critters that I have gotten
its a handy little tool
I mostly go to iClone first and it used to load straight in Carrara last time I tried, maybe I used the Unity settings or they recently added a later FBX
because it also worked in Poser before
glad it is still useable afterall
MasCarra looks like a LOT of fun. Can't wait to play around.
I'll post an updated model later today after I bone & paint him
MasCarra be boned!
start experimenting and improving your modeling and boning methods with Carrara's unofficial Wacky MasCarra in the attached zip file
post and share your results
Thank you, Stezza!
Test 1 - Adding a Morph to Share
I made the whole figure a single morph area. I added a new morph to open the mouth.
The test is to see if the morphed version works for others when shared.
thanks Ted... great start
tested... works great
just silly
I like that hair do :D Sure wish the rigging could cross over to Studio.
If rigged in Carrara often it does using dazcollada export
and he is green. looks too innocent to be kinky, mebbe with a bigger stretch of the imagination
cool hair and ear ring @cbird
looks like he's ready to paint the town green...
Did another wacky model
this time an aussie icon... the Hills Hoist... then I did a peg basket and though we need pegs to go with it....
Great for swinging on..
LOL I made one a few years ago and nobody knew WTF it was
is a lightning catcher?
doesnt keep yoo dry in the rain?
https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/15661/happy-australia-day-i-have-a-hill-s-hoist-clothesline-for-your-backyard
LOL
mine was very simple though, it was 6 years ago
Kids today will probably think that's some kind of antenna! Even the wooden clothespin is alien to them. Well, maybe not as a craft thing. Same for the springy ones.
Dana
how uncouth of them! lol
this one spins and goes up and down, I'll zip it up and post it for you Wendy and you can do your animation thing and have some peoples dancing around it in worship
what is this thing you call rain?
maybe a di-pole or a 1/4 wave ... I reckon you may be right @danaTA
a wacky weekend in the laundry all attached in the zip
The clothes line rotates and goes up and down.. the handle can spin as well..
no kids aimed stuff swinging on it on YouTube though
might need Ocker Lorenzo as MasCarra too cute
If Ocker Lorenzo swings on the hoist it might put a permanent lean to one side !
maybe have to add a bend morph to it lol ... we still have one and it's pretty straight still though the grandkids are getting taller so won't be long!
Wow, I haven't seen clothes pins like that a loooong time. Very cool.
if anyone tries the hair zip, it looks empty when you load it, but appears when you drag it onto MasCarra. No idea why, lol.
